Join us in the River City Ballroom for an update from Rev. Dr. Samuel B. Reeves, Senior Pastor of Providence Baptist Church, visiting from Monrovia, Liberia, as he shares news about the church once pastored by Rev. Clinton Caldwell Boone.

Learn about Maggie Lena Walker, the Black woman who founded a major bank and became one of Richmond’s most pivotal entrepreneurs, including her relationship with the Boone Family. The tour concludes with snacks at Curry’s Restaurant & Bar across from the museum.

Join the service at The First African Baptist Church of Richmond. Founded in 1841, the church included both enslaved and freed members and has deep connections to the Boone Family.
